Software Architecture for Circuit Simulation

Engineering design and analysis (EDA) software circuit simulators has traditionally focussed virtually exclusively on the scientific calculations performed by the software. Software technology, however, has matured to the point where it can provide significant improvements in the ability of EDA software to address the full requirement of the engineering design flow. In this paper we describe some of those technologies.
